The Ebonique Collection is a range of wearable staples, designed for women who love functional, elegant garments that can be styled for special occasions or dressed ‘down’, for comfortable daily wear. Our Sweetheart Tops are made with a soft bamboo jersey which accommodates a great fit across a range of shapes, featuring an exquisite Leavers lace or Italian power net. [Designers note: the mesh visible in these photos is a little more opaque than the Italian net we sourced later (which is more sheer and of a higher quality) – it is one of those rare cases where the production run of garments has actually turned out nicer than the samples!].
The Ebonique Skirts were inspired by vintage designs and are cleverly cut to accentuate your waist (and style perfectly with corsets). Made with a luxurious delustered satin and lined in cupro (a hypoallergenic fabric made from cotton) they feel absolutely incredible against your skin. And the best bit is they have POCKETS!
The corsets pictured here are our Emmelie underbust in black satin-coutil (from our made-to-order range) and a Lady Esha antique sari corset from our couture service. These corsets are handmade by Vanyanís designer Lowana O’Shea.
Model Sizes & Garment Fit Notes
To assist you in assessing the fit of these garments and how they may fit your own figure, here you will find some notes about the models specs and the garment sizes they’re wearing.
The first model pictured is Karolina. Her measurements are:
Bust: 34″ Waist: 25″ Hips: 35″ Bra size: 30D Height: 5’7″
Karolina is wearing a size 8 in the top and skirt. Her measurements are nearly a perfect match to our sizing chart.
The second model pictured is Victoria. Her measurements are:
Bust: 34.5″ Waist: 26.5″ Hips: 37.5″ Bra size: 34D Height: 5’3″
Victoria is also wearing a size 8 top and skirt and a size 20″ in our Emmelie underbust corset (pictured here with a small gap at the back lacing). For a more ‘figure hugging but not tight’ look, we’d suggest sizing up to a size 10 in garments and a 22″ corset (for a closed back). However, that all comes down to personal preference of the wearer, as the more closely fitted size 8 looks lovely on Victoria too!
