At Vanyanís, we believe that elegance goes hand in hand with comfort and utility. This is why our decadent satin skirt has two generously deep hidden pockets – freeing you of the need for a clutch should you choose.
The skirt is cleverly cut to accentuate your waist and hips, without adding ‘bulk’ at the front. The luxurious satin is gathered at the back and sides, joining the flat front. The hemline is generous and you instantly want to swish about when you wear it. Why not wear a petticoat underneath for a vintage feel?
This skirt is the height of luxury and we’ve loved bringing a couture feel to this garment. The skirt is fully lined in cupro (a hypoallergenic, anti-static fabric made from the silky fibers of the cotton plant) which feels incredibly soft against your skin.
Christian Dior once said “You can wear black at any time. You can wear it at any age. You may wear it for almost any occasion.” We couldn’t agree more.

To assist you in assessing the fit of these garments and how they may fit your own figure, you will find some information about the models measurements and the garment sizes they are wearing alongside fit notes from the designer in our Lookbooks (click here).

At Vanyanís, we believe in slow fashion – high quality, versatile pieces made to last – not fast fads to be discarded in a few months. Rather than a passing trend, we focus on fashion as an investment; a Vanyanís wardrobe is a collection of timeless favourites made with quality and ethics at the fore, because we pride ourselves on paying a living wage.

Wellington Corset Pattern Making: The Tape Method [Date: TBC]
School Shop, ClassesCorset Pattern Making: The Tape Method is the perfect introduction to making corset patterns for those that may not have prior experience in flat pattern drafting or the time to invest in learning complex pattern drafting methods. In this course you will learn how to make a perfectly fitting "basic" corset pattern using the 'Tape Method'. Instead of taking extensive body measurements we will tape the body and develop the pattern in 3D before transferring it to paper (2D). After transferring it you'll learn some flat patterning skills to develop the pattern into a beautiful corset shape.
The methods taught in this course are very 'hands on' and there is little-to-no math's involved at all. If traditional pattern drafting feels too complicated, too structured, or you just want to use your hands to create, then the methods taught in this course are for you. This approach will help you learn what different figures look like in pattern form without the stress of wondering if you're getting it right or not. If you will be making a pattern for a body shape you've never patterned for before then these skills will help you level up quickly.
It's always helpful to learn more than one way to achieve something - it gives you the tools to pick and choose the best approach (for you) for any project. The pattern drafting skills you learn in this course can be applied to bridal bodices, couture gowns and corsets.

Nadja Black Mesh Corset
Ready to Wear, CorsetsThe Nadja mesh underbust corset is an exquisite example of what's possible when you combine luxurious fabrics, textured embellishments and stunning craftsmanship. Made with a strong black corsetry mesh overlaid with a delicate leavers lace, this corset feels light to wear but is strong enough to withstand tight lacing so you can show off your curves. The corset is semi-sheer so incredibly easy to style over your favourite clothes (or wear as lingerie if you prefer...)
As with all Vanyanís corsets, the Nadja corsets features a sleek silhouette and a smooth wrinkle free finish on the fabric. The steel bones are encased in external bone channels, evenly spaced around the corset so that when worn, it feels like a comfortable (but firm) hug. The bone casings, binding and front and back panels feature a luscious black satin fabric (the same used in our Ebonique Skirts) that is backed by a European cotton coutil for added strength.
The front and back panels of this curvy corset feature an embroidered lace with tiny black sequins woven through it. (Please note: We decorated the corsets for the photoshoot with some Swarovski crystals on the mesh panels. These crystals are not included on the product.)
The Nadja corset is made with the best materials we could find (a German steel black busk, velvet lining and the most luxurious satin ribbon lacing). (For those that love details, check out the ‘Corset Details’ tab below for all specifications on this corset.)
Only 30 corsets are available, split across an extended size range (18"-44"), and we won't be re-stocking. We're thrilled with how perfectly this limited edition corset has turned out. Nadja has been a labour of love, and we hope you love this new design as much as we do. This corset is currently listed as a "clearance" item in our sale. Save 50% on this corset with code "baby2".
Vanyanís Corset Busk Jewellery Set (Silver or Gold)
JewelleryWe put this set together for those that desire the ultimate package for our corset themed jewellery. With the delightful pendant and earrings you can wear part of a corset every day. The complete set is your very own token to symbolize your love of corsets that you can wear anytime, in any occasion whether to work or a special event. Because they are so sleek and understated, they are suitable for any occasion. The unique pendants (featured in the necklace and earrings) are made with our original Engraved Corset Busk loops, that have been handcrafted in Melbourne and transformed into the elegant jewellery you see here. Available in "silver" or "gold" (see tabs below for further information).
The loops have been expertly engraved with a two-tone antique black laurel design (reminiscent of Victorian corset details) and then transformed into a pendant (complete with sterling silver or 9ct yellow gold loop) and earrings (with solid sterling silver or 9ct yellow gold hooks hooks) by a talented jeweller. The silver pendant hangs on a delicate 50cm ‘Figaro’ sterling silver chain that adds detail, without detracting from the pendant. (Please note: the gold set does NOT include a chain). Whether you wear them as a whole set, or style them with jewellery you already have – the choice is yours with these unique, handmade pieces of luxury.
We wear our set everyday and several people have asked if the pendants are love lockets, as the cut out shape is similar to a keyhole. Isn't that lovely? Our customer Emmelie said (on receiving her necklace) "I love how it must look quite mysterious to a non-corset wearer: it's obviously a very deliberate, even utilitarian shape - but what of?! I can't wait to be asked about it."
This set is beautifully presented in a branded black jewellery box, making it the perfect gift for yourself or a loved one. Make every day a luxury, with Vanyanís Corset Jewellery.
Please allow up to 2 weeks for manufacture of this item as it is made-to-order.
